LIVE is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Media Company and was set up in 2008 to upgrade the production capabilities of the UAE and the region to meet world-class standards and support large scale sporting and cultural events in the capital. With state of the art High Definition capabilities, experienced staff and a passion to capture the moment, LIVE aims to beam broadcasting excellence from Abu Dhabi to the world.

With so many local production companies having to outsource their High Definition requirements – often to foreign companies at great cost, LIVE offers a local, cost effective solution to covering major events using world-class equipment and a team of talented creative professionals. 

These include the latest High Definition cameras, world-class audio and video mixers, high-end graphics and character generator systems, sophisticated virtual graphics and Telestrator systems. 

LIVE is the official producer of the UAE Football League, producing six matches every week, including coverage of six matches of the UFL Cup and one Challenge Cup match.  

LIVE has produced more than 100 football matches in high definition so far and boasts the following events in its roster of major events it has covered or co-produced:

• LIVE is the official producer of The Million’s Poet, which is one of the largest and most successful shows in the region.
• LIVE is set to cover the Opening Ceremony of the IDEX Show.
• Coverage of the Asian Qualifying Games for World Cup 2010.
• Coverage of the final GCC Cup match in Muscat in January 2009.
• Coverage of the Dubai Desert Classic Golf Tournament, in conjunction with ETP and CTV, in January 2009.
• Coverage of the Abu Dhabi Cricket Tournament for Ten Sports - filmed in HD.
• LIVE was the official broadcaster of The Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF).
• LIVE covered The European Golf Tournament in Abu Dhabi - January 2009.
• LIVE covered the first Capitala International Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi -  January 2009.
• LIVE covered all the events during UAE National Day including the main show (Zayed and the Dream).
